Hope Strengthens Foundation (HSF) does not exist without Joseph Merry. Our organization is a direct result of his inspirational fight against cancer. Since beating cancer, Joe has selflessly volunteered with HSF for 15 years, and has also served on our Board of Directors since 2013.
As a result of his inspiration and dedication, we were immensely proud to see Joe recognized as one of 26 Myra H. Kraft Community MVP Award recipients on June 3 at Gillette Stadium. This special award is presented by the New England Patriots Foundation in partnership with Gillette. It recognizes volunteers who exemplify leadership, dedication, and a commitment to serving their community.
We believe no one is more deserving of this recognition than Joe. His dedication to helping those who face the most significant challenges of their lives stands out. It takes a special level of vulnerability and selflessness to gain the trust of those battling a life-threatening illness, disability, or injury. Joe always brings light to one’s darkest hour in an authentic and impactful manner.
Congratulations to Joe and all the wonderful volunteers who were recognized by this special award in memory of legendary philanthropist and community leader, Myra Kraft.
