Networking for #GivingTuesday

Dec 1, 2020 | News & Events

This #GivingTuesday, we are asking for something a little different. We are kindly requesting your support with making a connection to a professional in your network who may be able to help us scale our operations to help more people facing a life-threatening illness, disability, or recovery from traumatic injuries.

It could be a philanthropist or someone who has a family foundation. It could be a nonprofit executive director or a development professional who could offer strategic guidance. It could be a business executive whose organization’s philanthropic efforts align with ours. It could be you.

The people we have been privileged to assist over the years have inspired us beyond measure. We experienced the joy of someone overcoming brain cancer and thriving, while suffered the pain of another person tragically losing their battle to the same illness, leaving a young family behind.

Through loss, we have establish meaningful opportunities to keep the memory of a loved one alive through scholarships and grant programs. We’ve worked to develop avenues to support caregivers who put their lives on hold and endure the mental and physical challenges that come with caring for an ill, disabled, or injured loved one. We’ve established partnerships with hospital patient service programs in Massachusetts and California to expand our reach and support families dealing with severe health challenges.

There is a photo collage that we always keep near by. It features several of the families we have served over the years. The images reflect stories of triumph and tragedy. Examples of lives that continue on and lives cut far too short. Some days, we look and smile and other days, our eyes well up with tears. Every day, we think of other families just like them, who need our assistance.

With your support, we can scale our efforts and help more people. Thank you for your consideration of this request. We look forward to hearing from you.
