The Merry's

Sixty people gathered on Saturday, October 4, at the Tisbury Spring Building to celebrate Hope Strengthens Foundation’s 2nd Annual Roast & Raise. The event featured a classic pig roast where friends and families gathered in support of a great cause.

In addition to raising awareness and supporting a number of people across the country courageously battling serious illnesses and injuries, Hope Strengthens Foundation will be donating a portion of the proceeds from the Roast & Raise to three outstanding Island nonprofit organizations; MV Cancer Support Group, Hospice of Martha’s Vineyard, and Angel Flight Northeast.

“We just completed our gifts to MV Cancer Support Group, Hospice of Martha’s Vineyard, and Angel Flight Northeast,” Hope Strengthens founder and organizer Jacob Ferriera wrote in an email to the Times. “These gifts allowed Hope Strengthens Foundation to cross the $40,000 mark in total giving since inception (2010).”
