Tara enjoyed spending Thanksgiving with her Massachusetts family last week. In addition to the holiday, she was very busy with three trips to Dana Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI). Her clinical trial began on Tuesday, November 20th with a full day packed with blood draws, EKGs, hair plucking and one skin biopsy. She was also given a dose of the trial medication. Tara returned on Wednesday for blood draws and again on Friday at which time they provided her the month’s supply of the trial medication to be taken twice a day. She’s experienced some nausea but fortunately it has not been too severe. Future visits to DFCI will be once per week. Tara’s outlook remains optimistic and positive.
