In 2010, a spark ignited, fueled by the courageous spirit of Joseph Merry in his battle against cancer. That spark grew into Hope Strengthens Foundation, a beacon of support for patients and families facing similar challenges.
The motto, “Hope Strengthens,” emerged organically from Joe’s own words and experiences. It encapsulates the core belief that even in the darkest of times, hope acts as an indomitable force, empowering people to persevere. It’s a testament to the idea that by fostering hope, we can collectively amplify the strength within those who need it most.

Today, Joe is in complete remission. His inspiring journey laid the foundation of our mission to assist those facing a life-threatening illness, disability, or recovery from traumatic injuries.
Over the past fifteen years, Hope Strengthens Foundation has been honored to impact hundreds of patients and families by offering a lifeline during their most vulnerable moments.
