Ally Smith

…with a smile on her face and laughter in her heart.

Alexandra “Ally” Smith walked out the door on December 28, 2010 in her own happy and carefree way, with a smile on her face and laughter in her heart. On a country road in Sherborn, her life changed in an instant when her car skidded into the path of an oncoming car.

Ally was rushed to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center where she was treated for a traumatic brain injury and facial trauma. She had three major surgeries and continued to fight her way back to us.

Ally was the first person that Hope Strengthens Foundation was privileged to assist. We raised awareness and financial support to offset the medical and physical rehabilitation expenses associated with Ally’s care. Sadly, on Monday, November 19, 2012, Ally succumbed to her injuries.

Ally loved life and laughter, people and animals. She worked hard towards her goal of becoming a veterinarian, and spent countless hours caring for horses, dogs, and all other animals that have crossed her path. Along the way, she also touched the lives of the people she met, who in turn have touched the lives of the Smith family and friends.

Thanks to your generous support, Hope Strengthens Foundation has established an annual scholarship fund in the amount of $1,000 in memory of Alexandra “Ally” Smith for a deserving graduate at Walpole High School.

$25 donation will help us grow an annual scholarship provided to a deserving Walpole High School graduate in Ally’s memory.
